What's been going on?

Hi EY Community!

Elevate Youth is pleased to announce that our outdoor summer program has officially begun! Every two weeks, the kids will participate in a different activity: hiking, sailing, kayaking, or horseback riding. Even though the weather has been off-and-on, the first two weeks of hiking were a huge success, with seven different groups and nearly 75 youth joining us. The kids had a blast! This week, we are starting our sailing block and could not be more excited! Stay on the lookout for pictures from our trips on Instagram and Facebook.

Additionally, our monthly E.A.T. Initiative virtual cooking class is scheduled for Thursday, July 29th. This month, we’ll be making homemade pesto pasta! Although we have a smaller group joining our virtual classes during the busy summer months, it's been so fun to have an intimate experience and watch our youth grow into seasoned chefs and try all our healthy recipes! Be on the lookout for some yummy photos!

We’ve got some more fun stuff coming up the pipeline! In a couple months, we’ll kick off our 2nd annual #outdoorsyourway event. From September 8-12th, we’ll host a series of virtual outdoor challenges culminating in our in-person after-party at Cisco Brewery in Boston’s Seaport on September 14th. Between cooking contests, funny photo contests, or the scavenger hunt, winners of each challenge will be awarded prizes from sponsors such as Patagonia, Costa, the Boston Red Sox, and more!

For more information on this event please visit our Event Page. Sign up today!

Lastly, come volunteer with us this summer! We still have space for our kayaking and horseback riding trips in August. To get involved, contact cam@elevate-youth.org or sign up directly HERE

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

Cheers,

Tova & Adam
