EARTH DAY !

At Elevate Youth, this is one of the most important days of the year. For us, it is a celebration of Mother Nature, and all that she provides for us. We see these benefits everyday, from the smiles on our youth's faces when they make their first turn on skis, to the excitement we hear when they catch their first fish, or the curiosity and emotion which comes out when discussing climate change in the classroom. Mother Nature provides us with so much, yet her benefits are still not equally shared. This is why, today, we thank our planet for giving us life and reflect on the important work we are doing everyday to become better stewards.

In Celebration of Earth Day we partnered with Cambridge Mayor Sumbul Siddiqui and spent the morning doing a clean up along the Charles River with our friends from Cambridge and Boys & Girls Club Dorchester.
It was a bad day to be a piece of trash!!

Elevate Youth is committed to becoming Carbon Neutral by 2023

We believe that Carbon Neutrality is a necessary step for any organization, especially ours. We have partnered with Emerger Strategies /Fly Fishing Climate Alliance to help us reach this goal.  Elevate Youth is committed to this vision, which will be realized through the following steps:

  • Reducing waste from outdoor programming.

  • Investing in carbon offsets.

  • Utilizing public transportation & remote work to reduce emissions from commuting.

  • Advocacy for local grassroots environmental organizations.
