Hello - my name is Adam and I have been fortunate enough to join Elevate Youth this summer as a first-year intern. I chose to work here because of the positive impact they have on so many communities. I have been participating in team sports and enjoying the outdoors for as long as I can remember. The connection to the outdoors has a lasting impact on physical and mental health, and everyone should be given the opportunity to take advantage of it.

I chose to intern at Elevate Youth for the second summer for many reasons, but the main reason is because of their message to the community and what they stand for. As an inner city kid, I was fortunate to have outdoor experiences like skiing, ice-skating, hiking, etc but a lot of my friends could not experience it for financial or personal reasons. Elevate Youth is exactly what their name is. They elevate inner city kids to reach their highest/ greatest potential, to achieve their wildest dreams. Also, this non-profit gives kids experiences that they probably would have not done in a long time.
